Our Training Team

Mike Toussaint is a native of San Antonio, TX, who joined the US Navy in 1990, and retired as a Senior Chief in 2011. He also attended a police academy in Texas while on active duty and became commissioned as a Peace Officer in 2002.  After retiring from the military, Mike was a full-time police office in the San Antonio area. He recently retired as a Sgt from that department in Texas, to take the position as the Director of Operations for Bulletproof Dog Training.  While serving as a police officer, he procured and supervised his departments K-9 program, served as a patrol shift supervisor, and the criminal investigation division (CID) supervisor.  Mike has also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Charleston, West Virginia.  Throughout Mike’s military career, he served as a dog handler, trainer/supervisor, and kennel master. One of his many duty stations was at Lackland AFB, where he was the superintendent for all of the military dogs and handlers training.  However, his biggest accomplishment was while serving as the Kennel Master for the illustrious Naval Special Warfare Research and Development (NSWDG), he received a Silver Star for combat actions while working with his K9 partner Remco, in Afghanistan. US Navy veteran and currently Police Officer 28 years with Cincinnati Police Department assigned to Patrol District. 19 years as K9 officer and Principal Trainer Cincinnati PD 2001 – 2020. 2 time Department National champions with USPCA with K9 Maximus 7th individual over all in the Nation. Top Novice Handler USPCA. 3 time K9 handler with Cincinnati PD. First K9 partner Maximus. 2nd K9 partner Titus. 3rd K9 partner Jones. 15 years on Cincinnati SWAT Team. First to incorporate and introduce K9s into Cincinnati SWAT Team. First K9 handler in the history of Cincinnati SWAT Team 2003-2018. Board and Regional member of OTOA (Ohio Tactical Officers Association) 13 years as instructor and board member OTOA. Certified tactical K9 Trainer and Tactical Operator trainer.Ohio State K9 Certification evaluator OPOTA. Student Trainer Certificate from Shallow Creek Kennels. Universty of Cincinnati graduate. Karl Milam
Retired lieutenant/certified law enforcement officer for 29 years. Worked patrol, k9, narcotics, swat, detective bureau and major crimes. OPOTA state certified firearms, defensive tactics instructor, K9 evaluator and a trainer for the Police K9 Association. Worked assignments with the ATF, Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Agency and was team leader for Cambridge S.W.A.T. and the Southeastern Ohio Regional Tactical Team. U.S. Army Veteran-Military Police/S.R.T. Past board member for the Ohio Tactical Officers Association (OTOA), and Vice President of the Police K-9 Association.
